One very interesting trekking route on the Peninsula of Fakos is the one starting from Diapori Beach and ends at the chapel of the Cross. Start by moving south, and after about 650 meters, take a left turn at the first fork you come across. Keep following the uphill course while passing through several paddocks. On the way you will encounter sheep and goats grazing freely. Having covered 4.5 km of the route, and upon ascending the uphill path, you’ll find an intersection in which you follow the right direction. The gradient varies and in 2 km you will find yourselves upon the chapel of the Cross. This is the end of this route. However, you may choose to return from the same path or turn right and follow the trail connecting Agia Efthimia with Diapori, distanced 1600 meters. (See the Diapori- Agia Efthimia section).
